“Casual headshots.” Is that an oxymoron?

I have to admit, I was a little intimidated by a request to do headshots as it’s not really my niche. But the line, “I’m not looking for Wall Street, more of a WIRED magazine look,” kept me interested.

I’m super-excited they were for a great friend who was flexible enough to change venues last minute since we were under a severe thunderstorm warning. I’d say the location worked out alright.

Just when I’d thought I’d seen it all, my friends started producing these awesome ribbon sculpture hairbows and started selling them. Since I have the girliest of daughters, I was thrilled when they asked me to do a shoot for them in exchange for a hair-drobe. The little models were so cute and suprisingly tolerant of the multiple outfit and hairdo changes.

I think this is my favorite from the shoot. The looks say it all.

I’m telling you. Ribbon geniuses.

I’m totally bummed that the holidays are over and my daughter isn’t this little anymore. Not necessarily in that order.
